To assist in research on intellectual freedom and the rights of library patrons to read, seek information, and speak freely, the Center for Information Policy Research maintains an archive of challenges to public library materials. We strive to collect and make available all relevant complaint materials, news reports, public comments, relevant communications available through public records requests.
The archive currently contains materials related to the following library challenges:
- 2009 challenge at the West Bend (WI) Community Memorial Library
- 2013 challenge at the Orland Park (IL) Public Library
